Overlap in EFL Learners' Online Casual Conversation: How Men and Women Differ

چکیده

The COVID-19 pandemic is thought to have changed the way people communicate in society. It has ushered a new of living that fully conducted online. urges this study concentrate on examining online communications, particularly men's and women's casual conversations. qualitative approach was employed accomplish this. Three basic processes were carried out greater depth. first step tape dialogue, which transcribed using theory Eggins & Slade (1997). To strengthen data, an unstructured interview (Mackey Gass, 2005). Finally, expose phenomenon overlap, data evaluated theories proposed by numerous experts, such as Schegloff (2000), Cogo Dewey (2012), Yule (1996), many more. results afterward developed into rich verbal descriptions. Analysis shows conversations different patterns overlap. This can happen because influence what they received throughout their lives about how be man woman. gender values get from environment greatly affect interact with others.
